Ok, here's the deal, my Electronics II teacher told me he will pay me $150 to fix one of the computers. I got everything fixed but then I noticed that the control panel is missing. I tried control.exe and everything else I could think of. No trace of it. I'm guessing someone removed it from the system components? Anyone know what can be done to undo this? I tried looking for a restore point and there was none. By the way, it's Windows 98 (piece of shit). Thanks. |

Get them to reinstall the frickin system, it's not the frickin hard to install Especially Windows 98 |

If you can't see the control panel then you're not an administrator of your computer. lol |

Do an "upgrade" reinstall. Keeps all programs and settings but fixes every problem I've seen. Only redeeming quality of Windoze 98. TS: On 98 EVERYONE is an "administrator" of the computer. |

It used to have adminsistrator access but it doesn't now. I'll try the upgrade reinstall when I have the class tomorrow. |
